With the efforts and support of all parties, the China Branch of the International Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Association has held five academic seminars in Wuhan and Shanghai since its establishment in November 2003. Each meeting has been well received by domestic and foreign experts and participants. , with more than 1,000 delegates participating in previous conferences. According to the practice of the International Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Association, the academic conference is held every two years. Sponsored by the China Branch of the International Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Association, and co-organized by the Institute of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery and the Institute of Organ Transplantation of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology Held at the Eurasia Exhibition International Hotel in Wuhan, this meeting is one of the important components of the activities commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Academician Qiu Fazu, one of the pioneers of modern surgery in my country.

This conference has two keynote speeches and several special reports in sub-sessions, including endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, laparoscopic liver resection, organ transplantation, and surgical video exhibition and competition. Several academic conferences held by the China Branch of the International Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Association have greatly promoted the scientific research and clinical experience exchange of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases in my country, and promoted the improvement of the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases in my country.
